Ashwick Grove, Connecticut.
Present Day. Small town America.
Where apple pies were practically invented.
Three months earlier, the nation was shocked by the discovery that their nations leaders (the president of the United States) was a thing of legends: a vampire. Since then, many vampires around the world have come out of the coffin, so to speak. No longer hiding in the shadows of the dark, lurking about. And all thanks to the invention of synthetic blood that allows vampires to feed without feeding on humans, animals, or causing any harm in anyway.
While the rest of the world seems to be up in arms about such a shocking reveal, Ashwick Grove has moved forward as if nothing happened. Vampires are still seen as creatures of stories. In this small college town in Connecticut, there are more important things to focus on. Like the towns football game, gardening, bake sales, contests of all kinds, festivals, and just enjoying life in a picturesque, tight knit community.
Little do the citizens of this cozy neighborhood realize that vampires aren't so far off. And even more, that those that must feed on blood to survive are not the only 'fairy tale/nightmare' creatures lurking about their wholesome community. In fact, many fail to realize that their friends and neighbors might not be who they seem to be.
